2 Day Trekking

Day 1

Start your morning with a hearty breakfast before your guide picks you up around 9 AM. Your adventure begins with a calm river float and an easy walk through rubber plantations leading into Gunung Leuser National Park. Once inside, the real magic starts — spot semi-wild orangutans swinging freely through the trees, perhaps with their little ones by their side. Take a short break to enjoy fresh tropical fruits before hiking deeper into the rainforest. You’ll trek up gentle slopes with breathtaking views of the Bohorok River valley and the surrounding jungle. A tasty lunch will be served in the middle of nature before continuing toward your campsite. Along the trail, keep your eyes open for playful macaques, graceful Thomas Leaf Monkeys, or even a curious monitor lizard. By late afternoon, arrive at your camp beside a river or near a waterfall — the perfect place to relax and swim. Enjoy tea or coffee while your guide prepares a delicious local dinner. As night falls, gather around the campfire, share stories, play cards, and soak up the jungle atmosphere before sleeping under the stars in your cozy jungle tent.

Day 2

Wake up to the sound of birds and the flow of the river. After breakfast, continue trekking deeper into the heart of the rainforest for another 4–5 hours. Keep an eye out for rare wildlife like gibbons, forest turtles, or the magnificent Great Argus bird. Enjoy your last jungle lunch surrounded by the sounds of nature. Then, it’s time for the highlight — your ride back on the “jungle taxi,” a fun tubing journey down the Bohorok River! Feel the thrill and cool splash as you float back to Bukit Lawang. Return to your guesthouse between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM — tired, happy, and full of unforgettable memories from your two-day jungle adventure.
